Our Approach
Eat Play Thrive Paediatric Therapy offers Speech Pathology and Feeding Services to children in the Port Macquarie-Hastings area (Birpai country). We can see children with a range of presentations and diagnosis’. The EPT team works closely with families and local schools so that our kids can eat, play, and communicate well.
Our experienced team is dedicated to delivering highly evidence-based and neuroaffirming supports that work towards meaningful and functional goals of the child and their family.
At EPT, we embrace a family-centered approach in our care and speech pathology services. This means we take the time to understand you and your family, offering continuous parent/caregiver support throughout each therapy session.
We focus on creating a fun, and interactive environment for children and teens to be able to learn, build their confidence, develop self-advocacy skills, and THRIVE!

B. Speech Pathology (Hons), MSPA
Shannon is a passionate speech pathologist with extensive experience in providing early intervention to children in Port Macquarie and surrounds.
Shannon particularly enjoys working with neurodivergent children and their families and seeing her client’s thrive in their home and community. At the core of her approach to Speech Pathology is supporting parents and carers to understand how their children experience the world.
Shannon is trained in many evidence-based approaches to speech and feeding therapy including:

Shannon uses a combination of trainings and strategies based on what each individual child needs. She is committed to furthering her skills and knowledge, so that she can provide the highest quality of service to children, families and the wider community.
Outside of work, you can find Shannon spending time with her family and friends, out for brunch, or cozied up on the couch with yet another new book!
